Hey Bulldog
John, Paul, George and Ringo in 1967. One of my favorite Beatles songs, “Hey Bulldog” was on the Yellow Submarine soundtrack. I discovered this clip online while researching a small article that’s in the works…along with two or three other articles that are also in the works. When they’ll be finished is anyone’s guess, as apathy and frustration conspire against me.
Sheep dog standing in the rain
Bull frog doing it again
Some kind of happiness is
measured out in miles
What make you think you're
something special when you smile
Childlike no one understands
Jack knife in your sweaty hands
Some kind of innocence is
measured out in years
You don't know what it's like
to listen to you fears
You can talk to me
You can talk to me
You can talk to me
If you're lonely, you can talk to me
Big man walking in the park
Wigwam frightened of the dark
Some kind of solitude is
measured out in you
You think you know me but you haven't got a clue
You can talk to me
You can talk to me
You can talk to me
If you're lonely, you can talk to me
Hey Bulldog

For what its worth, there's a fun review of the latest (fucking) Beatles book over at Commentary. Good luck with the frustration and apathy; they've been knocking at my door lately as well.
