    flickhead, how would these two compare with his other films? Worth watching for the Chabrol newbie, or completists only?h

    Filmbo, Violette may be a little slow-going for some tastes, but Comedy of Power is in keeping with Chabrol's better recent work.

    Newbies, however, may find the following slightly more rewarding and infinitely more accessible: Les Bonnes Femmes; A Double Tour; Les Biches; Le boucher; and, one of his finest, La Cérémonie.

    Violette on DVD!! **throws confetti** Hooray! I did not get to see this during Cinematheque Ontario's Huppert tribute because there was trouble getting a good enough print to arrive. It has been frustratingly hard to see for years. Cannot wait to add this one to my Netflix. You have made my day!
