I would like to participate. Buñuel's great; I can't think of a single one of his films I wouldn't like to watch or rewatch between now and September 24-30. I hope I can make the time to do so and write something worth reading as well.
Thanks for timing this after TIFF. I'll be happy to write about Exterminating Angel.
I'd love to participate, hopefully I'll fit in a Bunuel I haven't yet seeing and talk about that. If not I'll probably say something about Diary of a Chambermaid
Brian, Maya & Justine: THANKS!
When Buñuel-a-thon time comes, I'll be sure to post your links!
Absolutely! I plan to discuss Bunuel's cocktail recipes and use them as a launching pad for deeper analysis ...

You can count on me. I'd like to talk about prosthetics and the art of Bunuel and his acolytes.
I've been trying to get together with five or six friends over dinner to discuss Bunuel but every time we get interrupted. Very frustrating. Thank god for bunuel-a-thons. I have no idea what I would write at this point but whatever I can think of I will be happy to put down. Perhaps something about Viridiana or Discreet Charm... or L'Age Dor. I'll let you know. And thanks for such a wonderful selection of banners. Don't know which I'll use (I'm undecided on pretty much everything today).
Flickhead - Is that the right link? It doesn't seem to work.
Wonderful! I can't even find the time to maintain my own blog but I will take the time for one of my three fav directors. And I get to revisit El, Belle de Jour, Diary of a Chambermaid, Viridiana and Nazarin. Am looking forward to it.
Marilyn: if you take the final / off of the link (following .html), it should work. Thanks for using the banner!
Jonathan, Esco: excellent! Can't wait to read what you guys have to say!
I've added the banner to my blog and hope to contribute something.
I've been really wanting to revisit my favorite Bunuel (Belle de Jour) but I may try and watch one of his films I haven't seen yet such as Le Fantôme de la liberté and write about that. Only time will tell...
There's been a lot of great blog-a-thons lately but I'm really enjoying them.
I'm in! I have to re-watch Belle de Jour anyway to review it for my paying job, and I love the excuse to expound on it on my blog as well, and be able to go into a little more depth.
Damn, I hope I can participate in this -- I'm hoping to shoot a short film sometime that month. If I can clear out time, I'll probably do something on "Exterminating Angel."
Cinebeats, Hedwig, Matt: I'll crank up the tango music and keep my eye peeled!
I would love to blog on Tristana, it's one of my favorites. Plus it stars the magnificent Catherine Deneuve and the sublime Fernando Rey . Subversively adapted from a novel by Galdos.
Hi-
New to the "blog-a-thon" thing, but I would happily write something about *Gran Casino* (having just seen it) or *The Phantom of Liberty* if those are available and/or needed.
Thanks,
Mark (Fox).
Joe, I believe Tristana was Hitchcock's favorite Buñuel film.
Fox, this blogathon has no formal guidelines. Please write about any Buñuel you wish and send me the link once it's online!
I'd be happy to write something on Bunuel. I have no idea what, though. Thanks for suggesting this!
Considering The Exterminating Angel is more or less the film that turned me into a film geek and I often cite Un Chien Andalou as my most favoritest film of all, I think I kinda have to show up for this one.
Being a film lover who is just starting to seriously venture into Bunuelian territory, I'd love to contribute something as well. Or at least my thoughts on two of his movies...if I have a little time.
Schuyler, Steve and Phillip: thanks for offering to join in! I think Buñuel opens up a lot of areas to analyze and write about, perhaps more than most other filmmakers.
September is "Wes Anderson Month" over at my blog ShootTheProjectionist.blogspot.com but I'm sure I can find the time to tackle the wonderful SIMON OF THE DESERT.
(By the way, if anyone wants to write anything about Wes Anderson that I can link to this month, let me know!)
I would love to participate. Though I'm not sure what I'll write about quite yet.
My very humble blog is: Throughablogdarkly.blogspot.com
Ed & Rant: welcome aboard!
If it weren't for my Buñuel piece, which seems to be taking more time than I expected, I would've contributed something on Anderson.
Hmm... I'd really like to kick in something on Bunuel, but I have no idea what. Of course, in the end I suppose it doesn't matter: whatever I write will be worthless anyway.
So: Will think about contributing. Not sure yet.
Mango, I empathize. I've been writing a blogathon piece on Buñuel for a couple of weeks now -- honing, editing, sharpening, double-checking, the whole nine yards -- for a majority of readers who skim and misconstrue.
writing about a bunuel film would be a challenge- but I've been contemplating on writing about 'un chien andalou' for some time now- I think now is the time to get it out..
Thanks for the blogathon. I'm in.
BrokenP: Excellent!
I'm in - page here!

www.robertmonell.blogspot.com/
Very Nice idea. I'll try to write something, and in the meanwhile, i'll post two trailers, my favorite Bunuel - Deneuve movies.
