Muchas gracias, but woe to swine

simondel

  • I’d like to thank all of you who participated in the Luis Buñuel Blogathon. Your enthusiasm for this dear man and his art is stirring; your criticisms and observations enlightening.

To the high and mighty who decided to snub Don Luis: your cold indifference and lack of respect will not go unpunished. May a deranged ostrich saunter into your bedroom in the wee hours and encase your lower torso with an irremovable corset.

It was a pleasure. And pleasure is a master word for Don Luis.
Congratulation for all this beautiful work.

    See you on Kurosawa ?

I'm not entirely sure about Kurosawa, if only because I've made a commitment to myself to do something for the Double Feature Blogathon. My writing is getting slower and slower...I'd like to revisit Kurosawa's Stray Dog and maybe write something on that, but only time will tell if I can get it in gear.

I really enjoyed taking part, thanks for the opportunity. I just hope everyone's as excited about the Jonathan Lapper Home Movie blogathon as I am - you have all seen my home movies, right?

I, too, really enjoyed this event, my first blogathon. I'm going to be part of the double-feature blogathon, too, though I'm torn between two ideas. I'll be covering the Chicago International Film Festival starting Friday. Y'all come on over and see me sometime!

By the way, the creature in the Phantom of Liberty was an emu, not an ostrich. But an ostrich would probably be even more disconcerting, so the curse remains effective.

In the true spirit of surrealism I deliberately opted for ostrich over emu...

    ...you're buying that, right?
