Chabrol Day Ten: Le charme discret de la bourgeoisie

  • I’d like to thank all of you who participated in the Chabrol blogathon (especially the tireless Ed Howard!), and leave with this connubial moment between Stéphane Audran and Michel Bouquet in La Femme infidèle (1969). Au revoir.

Great job with this, Flickhead. There have been a lot of great contributions and lots of fascinating reading. I've really relished the opportunity to delve into a director I'd previously only just started to explore.

I think the blogathon was a great success! It introduced me to a bunch of Chabrol films that I plan to see myself very soon, and it was interesting to read so many different viewpoints on this undervalued director. Much thanks to Ed for alerting me to it.

Oh, and the clip is a very sexy closure.
