Slick

  • “Slick” is a great track…

It was co-written by Herb Alpert and John Pisano, and was an atypical venture into jazz by Herb’s Tijuana Brass on their album, The Beat of the Brass in 1968...

And inspired this version a year later by Chet Atkins on guitar.

    Time’s Up, Eve!

  • An intriguing short film running under thirteen minutes, Time’s Up, Eve! (2010) was produced and directed by Patrick Rea. While some of the exteriors were filmed in Lawrence, Kansas (birthplace of Herk Harvey’s Carnival of Souls), most were shot in Kansas City, Missouri but strike a remarkable resemblance to the bop-noir Los Angeles backstreets of John Parker’s Dementia (aka Daughter of Horror, 1955), a film that’s a noticeable influence on Rea’s picture.
