Not only did I start the damned thing today, I'm actually going to do it as an ongoing project, concentrated solely on America's so-called Avant-garde/Independent/Underground/Experimental/You-name-it cinema (basically, anything that didn't get financed, produced and released by a major or minor studio), where I have to write something (anything) about each one (I freely admit this is because I am otherwise bereft of ideas).

All of which means this could conceivably go on for years.

To be fair, I hated Xanadu until I saw it with a lively crowd at b-fest, after that I kinda love it. Most of its songs are horrible earworms. And it's nice to see Monkey Business get a mention, I love that movie. Guess I'll play along if only to keep the blog updated quarterly at least.
